Artists are a diverse lot: they may choose to paint or photograph, sculpt or sketch. Whatever their medium though, they create an image out of an idea, enabling us to see more of life than we otherwise would. We applaud their skill and are grateful for their passion and their talents.

Iota shaking hands How we
met them:
While searching for just the right artist to illustrate a horse book, I came upon Robert's watercolor of deer in a field. My search ended at that moment! Thankfully he not only listened to our ideas and caught the vision for the cover we were looking for, but he felt free to make suggestions that we have taken to heart. I would say, he inspired us to create a catch-phrase and "Beautiful words" was born.
Iota jumping for joy Fun Facts about them:
Robert's emails are treasures! Packed full of encouragement, ideas, and musings about all sorts of things, they always share his heart. Likewise, his love of Montana, wide open spaces, and nature come out in all he does. I can picture him early in the morning, walking through autumn leaves and enjoying his favorite colors ("red, burnt orange, with a touch of blue.") Finally, how could we not enjoy someone whose favorite childhood book was The Velveteen Rabbit? It's unthinkable.
Iota with sign stating "what I think" What they have to say:
"What a wonderful opportunity to be involved with a new, fun and exciting company. Hard working to provide the best possible product in the Audio book market, and develop lost and misplaced writings that speak to the heart. "  ~Robert Spannring

artist bio
An artist since 1976, Robert's formal training began at Montana State University, and has grown to include not only his signature watercolors and illustration, but oil painting as well. While his subjects may include still life, figure, and abstracts, it is his passion for and devotion to wildlife that predominates his work. An award winning artist, Robert has paintings exhibited nationwide and is particularly proud of his "DOWNSTREAM," a multi-media visual opera that showcases our land and rivers.
