Who We Are

Our talents are many. Our skills are varied. Our interests are diverse. However, our goals and our passions are united in creating quality audiobooks for today's listeners. Finding the wonderful stories from the last century, recording them in mellifulous voices, infusing them with captivating music, and then customizing them with exquisite artwork is what we do. And we actually have a lot of fun doing it!

Candyce
(CEO)

Giving vision to Kalliope Audiobooks is Candyce's third career. After spending time as an architect  and later as a teacher, she is now combining the lessons learned in constructing beautiful buildings and inspiring young minds, to create elegant new versions of treasured old stories. In addition to loving books, her delights include black coffee, growing flowers, cranberry bagels with cream cheese, and cuddling babies. Especially the sleepy ones!
Adam

Adam
(CIO)

When we are seeking inspiration, critiquing, or a unique viewpoint, Adam is the one we call on. Currently a thousand miles away in grad school for Computer Science, he handles our requests remotely, always throwing in some extra "color" along with the necessary answers. In additional to his technical expertise, his editing skills and problem solving abilities are terrific. His only weaknesses we know of are for Japanese animation, Thai food and Twizzlers licorice.
Hannah

Hannah
(CFO)

An accountant by education, Hannah not only guides the financial aspects of our company but she is our systems-person as well. Whether we need a system for tangible things (inventory) or intangibles(scheduling), she actually enjoys designing just the right system to keep us organized. When not working at Kalliope she can be found ballroom dancing, rock climbing and speaking German. Her favorite snack at work? A toasted Wolfermann's English muffin with apricot jam.Yum!
Nathan Kanuchok

Nathan
(MIA)

Nathan is another of our "remote" members since he is currently serving Uncle Sam by helping to keep his computers up and running.  In his downtime, he gives us the benefit of his technical expertise as well as being our IT Ninja.  Always good at being a stealth player, we think his title fits him quite well.  In addition, Nathan is in charge of our "humor department" and finds interesting things, funny quotes, and other absurdities in life to make us laugh.
Esther

Esther
(ART)

Esther beautifies the world with her colors and her graphic designs...and wears them as well! Using her face, her arms, her hands and her legs as a canvas, her sharpie markers "tattoo" designs that are both intriguing and captivating. Thankfully she also uses her artistic talents to make sure every aspect of our audiobooks are beautiful as well. Her interests in life are quite predictable: anything that involves playing with kids, Teddy Bears, and Chocolate, but not necessarily in that order!
Jesse

Jesse
(Tech)

Jesse is our "up close" techie who helps keep the technical aspects of our business in working order. When things are running smoothly, he can indulge his passion for video games (RPG's), popcorn, and reading anime. When we need his skills, however, he will work through the problems, fortified mainly with mac and cheese,  ramen noodles, and popcorn. He also finds great music and interesting videos for all of us to enjoy during our down time. Oh, and did I mention that he loves popcorn?
Leah

Leah
(Support)

Need to get a copy of a potential book that's on loan from the library?Leah can run down and request it. Need to get stamps from the post office or to mail out a client contract? Leah will go. Need copies runoff or a script collated? Call Leah. Every business depends upon its people pitching in to help with whatever the needs of the moment are, and we are glad for Leah's flexibility. Her enjoyments in life include teasing her cat Ariel as well as biking, cooking, furniture rearranging, and anything pink.
