One amazing thing about voice actors is that they are a lot like flavors. Just as in a cake, cinnamon would be welcome but in a stew requiring garlic, it would be a disaster; so it is with different voices. Each one is so delicious in the right "recipe" and that we work hard to find just the voice/inflection/accent to produce a culinary...no, auditory masterpiece.

How we met them: |
The voice we needed was sweet but not too sweet, full of character but not cutesy, and childlike but not childish in quality. Enter Lisa Yeager with her demo; we knew we had found our narrator. Having experienced years of listening to recordings for the little ones that made us as nearly gag, we were so pleased to find a narrator's voice that Mom as well as the kiddos can listen to end enjoy. Well done, Lisa! |

Given the choice, Lisa would like the super power of being elastic and the promise of never growing up. I think it is these child-like qualities that make her perfect for narrating our children's books. This Queens, NY native was inspired in her career choice by her family, snacks on Blue Diamond Lime and Chili Almonds while working, and considers guacamole her condiment of choice. We definitely enjoy Lisa's quirky personality! |
