Did you know that there are nine Greek Muses? Disney's Hercules movie gave us some exposure (we're actually a lot prettier than those cartoons) but most people haven't even heard of us.
In Greek mythology and poetry we are the inspiration behind the creation of literature and the arts. My name, KALLIOPE means "beautiful words" and I enjoy giving inspiration through stories. In fact, Dante called upon me in writing his famous work, "The Inferno":
O Muses, O high genius, aid me now!
