Judy Edmunds

Name:

Judy Edmunds

Website:

Specialty:

Story Telling

Advice:

"Follow your heart!"

Adjective:

"Creative"

One amazing thing about voice actors is that they are a lot like flavors. Just as in a cake, cinnamon would be welcome but in a stew requiring garlic, it would be a disaster; so it is with different voices. Each one is so delicious in the right "recipe" and that we work hard to find just the voice/inflection/accent to produce a culinary...no, auditory masterpiece.

Iota shaking hands How we
met them:
As a fan of Louisa May Alcott's writing, we were delighted to find this little-known book she had authored. Since the main character in Hospital Sketches is Louisa herself (disguised as "Tribulation Periwinkle"), we "knew" the type of voice we wanted and found it in Judy Edmunds. Not surprisingly, Judy has been an avid "reader of stories" to her two boys for years, and was told that she had the gift of bringing stories to life. She has, and we're glad; now you can be too!
Iota jumping for joy Fun Facts about them:
Although she was born in Washington D.C., Judy now calls Vermont home; that is where she enjoys a spring hike in the woods to see the wildflowers (particularly the trilliums!) emerge and bloom. We also happen to know that she is an ace snowman builder -- and even did a remarkable snow statue of "Tribulation Periwinkle" from Hospital Sketches. Additionally, when not reading books to her two boys, Judy keeps busy as an innkeeper, showing off the warm, welcoming Vermont hospitality that she demonstrates so well.
Iota with sign stating "what I think" What they have to say:
"I am so delighted to be part of this wonderful group!  I have such a deep love of the books I grew up with. I am so glad that there are others that value the classic books of years past, and that see the lessons and values emulated by the characters in these stories just as interesting, relevant and timeless as they were when they were first written."   ~Judy
