Artists are a diverse lot: they may choose to paint or
photograph, sculpt or sketch. Whatever their medium though, they create
an image out of an idea, enabling us to see more of life than we
otherwise would. We applaud their skill and are grateful for their
passion and their talents.

How we
met them:
|
When looking for someone to bring "Kalliope" to life, we found a few drawings done for an ad campaign that was never launched. One girl in particular looked like a young version of the mental image of our Muse, so we called Hatem Aly. He illustrated our first two book covers marvelously before tacking the job of fashioning Kalliope. By then, we think he, too, knew who she was and what she looked like. Thanks, Hatem! We will never tire of anticipating for your next creation.

 |
Fun Facts about them:
|
In keeping with our desire to cultivate an international flavor, Hatem adds two countires to that goal. Born in Cairo, Egypt and now residing in Canada, he might even inspire us to do the favorite Arabic children's book, Kalila & Demna. With orange as his favorite color, autumn as his favorite season, and frozen Mango Popsicles as the "flavor" of his talent, Hatem tells wonderful stories through his illustrations and tries (with great success!) hard to please.

What they have to say:
|
"It’s a pleasure to work on such a great selection of books through a publisher as professional as Kalliope Audiobooks. I can’t wait to have my own packages in my hand." ~ Hatem Aly
