About Us
"Once upon a time, there was a idea just waiting to happen. It had lain dormant for such a long time but knew that some day, someone would find it and give it a home. A few had peeked at the idea, but no one was willing to invest the time, money, energy, and love into giving this idea a home and allowing it to grow to maturity. Until one day, a family of story-lovers spied the little idea and decided to adopt it. This family continued to feed, encourage, and love the little idea and the idea loved them back..."

What?
|
"Although the idea came into their home in March 2008, the official adoption and "naming ceremony" happened on July 24, 2008 when the name "Kalliope Audiobooks" was officially chosen. "Kalliope" was after a Greek Muse, whose name means "Beautiful Words." "Audiobooks" is her title, and it fit the little adopted idea perfectly! Kalliope moved to her new home in Colorado Springs on October 15, 2008 to begin life as audio publishing company, specializing in treasured and sometimes forgotten books." |

Why? |
"Since she never forgot her lonely, forgotten years, Kalliope's mission is to help abandoned, neglected, and unremembered stories to also find homes where they will be thoroughly loved. Knowing they often need to be dusted off, edited, and artfully clothed to show off their beauty, she works tirelessly not only in finding and rescuing these unrecalled stories, but also in making sure they are gracious, helpful, and simply delightful. So in the end, Kalliope Audiobooks does what she does out of gratitude for her very life and with a sense of urgency to help other books find a happy ending." ~The End |
